St Georges Theatre x Museum of Human Kindness

Mar 18, 2020 | News

Welcome!

This call is for artists to join the Museum of Human Kindness at Great Yarmouth exhibition to be held in St George’s Theatre in May 2020. Museum of Human Kindness is a place where stories on acts of kindness are made into works of art.

If you have a creative practice and interested in creating a new work in response to stories of kindness, apply within!

We’re looking for four innovative creatives to join.

We hope to work closely with the selected artists and feature the creative strength of Great Yarmouth.

Therefore, we are prioritising artists living in and around Great Yarmouth to preferably work on a story that relates to the city (first set of stories on our website).

Our venue set-up restricts us to exhibit works that can be either hung on a wall or placed unsupported on a plinth. We unfortunately cannot present work that requires AV equipment. If you have any questions regarding the format, please feel free to contact us.

The exhibition will be held between 18-31 May 2020 at St George’s Theatre in the theatre cafe. St. George’s Theatre is Great Yarmouth’s only all year round theatre, housed in a stunningly converted Grade I listed former chapel building in the town centre’s historic King Street district.
